• RP "Newbie"- Friendly: Yes. Half of our current non-alt membership is currently new to WoW and MMO RP in general. This is why non-public chat channels are allowed to stay OOC with (( )) as much as they are, so comments and questions can be asked by the players without worry of figuring out how to ask it ICly. The guild will support the players, helping them along in their questing, and attempting to foster RP when possible with the IC and OOC understanding that the "true" IC methods of the Netherbane may not be for everyone.

Focus/Mindset

Anti-Burning Legion. All other politics are considered "bothersome". The Netherbane is a small organization of those who seek to fight the Burning Legion in the same vein as the demon hunter caste: using their own forces against them. It is a place for those Kaldorei with a "demon touched" storyline who seek to fight the Legion and its agents.

We also have an OOC goal of trying to make people see that there are other ways to play out the story without doing the common "tortured" routine, and we encourage a "progressive" storyline for such characters. Three of our members started out with the cliche, and have since evolved beyond that in different ways. Additionally, people who seek to actually RP a demon hunter (as described in the D20 texts and/or the Warcraft III manual), are also welcome to seek us out.

Requirements/Restrictions

Currently Kaldorei (night elves) only. Reason is per the RP story background of why the Netherbane was formed.

Raiding Interest

No major raiding interest attached to the guild itself. We will allow each player to pursue that at his or her own pace and desire, and we will support him or her in any way we can. If a large enough portion of the membership reaches the appropriate level, then trips to higher end content will not be out of the question.

Other Info

We are a very small guild at the moment, with a few members still learning the ropes of WoW and MMO RP. I have no desire to grow the Netherbane quickly or make it too large. Right now the membership have all had past experience with at least two other members in some capacity or another (in-game previously, real life friends, etc). "Outside" members (those we have had no experience with) will need to demonstrate their willingness to RP before you will be considered. Additionally, character backstory is important to membership as well.
